My Review: The first word that came to my mind after finishing this book was "wow". I grew up with European fairy tales but many of the ones presented in this volume were unbeknownst to me. It's a truly charming compilation of magical tales that were made even more vivid by the beautiful watercolor illustrations. Digital paintings would not have had the same effect. Step into a fantasy world that doesn't know any boundaries of age. Anyone that was fascinated by mythical creatures growing up will be delighted to go back to their childhood while flipping through the pages of this book. If you're a parent wishing to initiate your small child into the wonders of bedtime stories this would be the perfect starting point. It's one of the few books that captivated me entirely.
